Dr. Oliver Wiseman is a Consultant Urologist in Cambridge specializing in stone disease and minimally invasive techniques. He is also highly involved in research, teaching, and international surgical training. Dr. Oliver James Wiseman is based at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, where he focuses on the treatment of stone disease. He graduated from the University of Cambridge and later conducted research in London, publishing extensively on stone management. His main research interests include patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) for stone disease, and he served as the Principal Investigator of the large PURE randomized study on the management of lower pole stones. He is deeply committed to education, having served as Training Programme Director for urology trainees in the East of England. He teaches medical students in Cambridge, runs national training courses on stone surgery, and is frequently invited to lecture and perform live surgeries at national and international meetings. He also welcomes visiting surgeons and is recognized for introducing advanced techniques in the UK, including supine PCNL and ultra-mini PCNL.
